On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Salò earthquake, the Municipality has organized two significant events to reflect on historical memory and earthquake prevention. The first event will take place today, November 22, at 8:45 PM in the Sala dei Provveditori, featuring a conference titled “20 Years Since the Earthquake: Between Memory and Reflections.” During the meeting, experts and witnesses of the 2004 earthquake will share their experiences to promote greater awareness regarding civil protection and preventive measures.
The second event is scheduled for tomorrow morning, November 23, starting at 10:30 AM, with a guided tour of the historic center that will begin at the Loggia della Magnifica Patria. This tour will allow participants to explore the effects of past earthquakes on the city and learn about the solutions implemented to ensure the safety of buildings. The initiative aims to raise community awareness about the importance of earthquake prevention in a historically vulnerable area.
