Lake Garda is getting ready to host an event dedicated to cycling enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers: the Espresso Social Ride Lake Garda. This event, which will take place on a date yet to be determined, aims to promote the discipline of gravel biking, a cycling mode that combines effort with the discovery of landscapes and fun.
The event offers two routes to choose from: the “Short” route, approximately 40 km with 700 meters of elevation gain, and the “Long” route, approximately 65 km with 1100 meters of elevation gain. Both routes will be led by experienced guides who will take participants through the picturesque and typical landscapes of the Lake Garda area.
The event program includes a meeting at Carpentari Cycling Stories in Torbole sul Garda at 8:30 am, where groups will be organized and the rules will be explained. The departure for the “Long” route is scheduled for 9:30 am, while the departure for the “Short” route is scheduled for 10:00 am. Both routes will end at Bike Farm, where participants can celebrate at the end of the ride.
The tracks of the two routes will be presented during the pre-departure briefing and will be available through a QR code provided by the organizers. Knowing the route in advance will allow participants to fully enjoy the experience by riding on familiar tracks.
The “Long” route will start from Torbole and pass through the cliffs and holm oak forests along the Sarca River to the village of Braila. It will then continue along the ridge that separates Lake Cavedine from the homonymous valley, following ancient Roman trails. After cycling through Nosiola vineyards and the stunning landscape of the marocche, participants will reach the Sarca River again to arrive at Bike Farm.
The “Short” route will also start from Torbole and follow the Sarca River to the Roman Bridge. From there, the more typical gravel part of the route will begin, taking participants to the village of Pietramurata through various technical changes in slope. A fun singletrack along the cycle path will then lead into the Marocche di Dro area, before returning to the cycle path and finally reaching Bike Farm.
Participation in the Espresso Social Ride Lake Garda is free, but spots are limited. To register, participants can visit the website www.castelli-cycling.com/IT/it/castelli-espresso-ride-carp and receive all the details via email after registration.
