CASTIGLIONE DELLE STIVIERE: 33-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED, EUROPEAN ARREST WARRANT ISSUED On Friday, December 20, the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of the Operational Department in Mantova arrested a 33-year-old Romanian citizen in Castiglione delle Stiviere, executing a European arrest warrant. The man, who was temporarily in Italy, is to serve an 8-year prison sentence for involuntary manslaughter and aggravated intentional bodily harm, crimes for which he had been convicted by the court in Constanța.
After being identified by the officers, the 33-year-old was promptly detained and transferred to the Mantova prison. He is now awaiting to appear before the Court of Appeal in Brescia for the enforcement of the sentence imposed by Romanian authorities.
