March 2025 promises to be filled with events and activities at the **Ducal Palace of Mantua**, an important cultural destination that offers visitors the chance to explore its historic beauty. The program includes special openings, themed guided tours, and educational workshops, all designed to engage participants in unique experiences.
On **March 2**, in celebration of the first Sunday of the month, entry will be free. Guided tours will be available with scheduled departures at 10:10, 11:10, 12:10, and 15:10. The cost for the guided service is €7 per person, in addition to the entrance ticket. Reservations can be made through the call center or on the dedicated website.
## Special Openings
Two special openings are scheduled for the month:
– **Monday, March 3**: The Ducal Palace and Archaeological Museum will be open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (last entry at 4:40 PM). However, the Castle of San Giorgio will remain closed for maintenance work.
– **Monday, March 17**: In honor of the holiday for Saint Anselm, a limited section of the exhibition route will be open for free from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (last entry at 5:30 PM). This opening will provide access to the Rustic Apartment and a solo exhibition by artist Lorenzo Puglisi.
## Educational Activities
The proposed educational activities include:
– **March 3**, at 3:30 PM – “Carnival at the Palace”: a thematic visit with a workshop aimed at children aged seven and above.
– **March 17**, at 3:30 PM – “By Weight of Gold”: a thematic visit with a numismatic workshop for children aged seven and above. During this activity, participants will explore the history of coins from the Mantuan princes. Reservations are mandatory for both dates through the Infopoint.
## Guided Tours
Special guided tours will take place on the following dates:
– **March 1, 15, and 29** at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM, exploring the route dedicated to Isabella d’Este.
– **March 6** at 4:30 PM, focusing on the historical figure of Margherita Paleologa at the Castle of San Giorgio.
– **March 8** (International Women’s Day), with free entry for all women; thematic tours will start at 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM.

## Ongoing Exhibitions
Until **May 25**, the exhibition “Along the River. The Etruscan Settlement of Forcello” is on display on the second floor of the Archaeological Museum. A guided tour is scheduled for **March 16**.
Additionally, an ASST project is in place, offering free entry to those over 65 every Tuesday after 4:00 PM.
## Special Offers
Until **March 14**, visitors can benefit from reduced ticket prices for museum entry during weekdays. The costs are now €12 for a full ticket and €7 for a reduced ticket.
