A fatal road accident occurred on the evening of Saturday, October 19, along the provincial road 668 Lenese, at the border between Calcinato and Montichiari. Tecla Pluda, a 68-year-old woman residing in Calcinato, died due to the severe injuries sustained in a multi-vehicle collision involving approximately ten people. Despite resuscitation efforts and emergency air transport to the Civile Hospital in Brescia, her condition was critical.
Tecla Pluda was a well-known figure in the local community, serving as an elementary school teacher and godmother to the Alpini group. The tragedy unfolded just hours before the Alpini were set to participate in the Second Grouping Alpine Gathering in Montichiari, an event that was expected to draw many community members.
