A tragic incident occurred this afternoon, November 9, on Cima Agosta in the Val di Breguzzo, Trentino. A hiker from Brescia, born in 1953 and residing in Gavardo, lost his life after slipping down a steep grassy slope while descending towards Malga D’Arnò with two companions. The accident took place at an altitude of approximately 2,200 meters, where the man fell about fifty meters into a ravine.
The alert was raised around 2:15 PM by his friends via the emergency number 112. In response to the call, the Unified Emergency Center activated a helicopter and dispatched operators from the Alpine and Speleological Rescue Service of the Valle del Chiese station. Despite the prompt intervention of the air rescue technician and a medical team on-site, the doctor could only declare the man deceased. After receiving clearance from the relevant authorities, the body was airlifted to the mortuary in Pieve di Bono with the assistance of local operators.
