Another fatal accident occurred last night in Padenghe, around 9:50 p.m., along the stretch of road SP 572 that crosses the municipality. A 35-year-old man riding a scooter died as a result of a head-on collision with a car.
According to initial reconstructions, it appears that the driver of the car, a 27-year-old heading towards Desenzano, was trying to overtake when he hit the scooter rider head-on. The medical personnel of the emergency services (118) immediately intervened on the scene with a medical car and an ambulance, but unfortunately, there was nothing they could do for the motorcyclist. The injuries sustained in the collision were too severe.
The Highway Police and the Local Police of Valtenesi intervened at the scene of the accident to carry out the necessary investigations and determine the exact causes of the collision.
The competent authorities will now carefully analyze the dynamics of the accident in order to assess any responsibilities and take the necessary measures to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
