The Festival of Beauty is set to enchant the audience at Lake Garda with two extraordinary events taking place on August 1st and 2nd at the prestigious Vittoriale degli Italiani. This event, which celebrates art in all its forms, will feature prominent figures such as Sonia Bergamasco and Massimo Cacciari, promising a unique cultural experience.
Sonia Bergamasco: “La Duse and Us”
The first event, scheduled for August 1st at 9 PM, will feature Sonia Bergamasco presenting “La Duse and Us: A Plural Portrait of an Artist.” This theatrical reading offers an evocative portrait of Eleonora Duse, the renowned Italian actress regarded as one of the greatest interpreters in the history of theater. Through the voices of those who shared significant moments with her, the performance will explore Duse’s life and artistic legacy, particularly her tumultuous relationship with Gabriele D’Annunzio. The work is a collaboration between Bergamasco and Marianna Zannoni and is based on historical letters preserved in the archive dedicated to the great actress at the Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice.
Massimo Cacciari: “Image and Word”
The second event will take place on August 2nd at 9 PM, featuring Massimo Cacciari who will present his lecture titled “Image and Word.” In this conference, Cacciari will address fundamental themes concerning art and the icons of humanity, analyzing the aesthetic languages through which thoughts and emotions are expressed. His reflection aims to connect various artistic fields, from philosophy to painting.
