The Fila Lake Garda marathon is back, set to take place on Sunday, April 6, attracting runners from as many as 80 different nationalities. The organizers at Communico Italia have already recorded a sell-out with 5,000 bibs available, marking a significant increase compared to previous years: 800 more than in 2024 and 2,300 more than in 2023. The event will feature two routes: one of 42 kilometers from Limone to Malcesine and the other of 21 kilometers from Arco to Malcesine.
For the first time, Italy does not hold the record for the highest number of participants, as Germany leads with a delegation of 1,400 runners, accounting for 28% of the total. Following are Great Britain with 800 runners (16%) and Italy with 550 registrants (11%). A notable influx is also coming from Poland (7%), Austria (4%), France (4%), Norway (3%), and Ireland (3%), highlighting the significance of sporting events in the local landscape.
