A fire at the ecological island of Calvagese della Riviera occurred yesterday afternoon, marking the second incident of this kind in a month. Firefighters responded on Via Battisti around 12:30 PM, after the operations center received reports of a column of smoke visible from a distance. The flames are believed to have originated from beneath the roof of a small shed used by employees, where some work tools were stored, before spreading to several containers in the area.
Fortunately, there were no injuries among those present, and carabinieri, Arpa personnel, and 118 emergency services were also on-site to ensure safety and manage the emergency. The incident has drawn the attention of local residents, but authorities are already investigating the causes that led to this new fire.
