On the night of Friday, January 17, a fire in an apartment struck a building in Tremosine, triggering an alert from a resident family. Around 1:30 AM, the owners contacted emergency services after noticing flames that had erupted, likely due to a malfunction in the chimney. The fire quickly engulfed the roof of the building, rendering the apartment uninhabitable.
The firefighters, who responded with fire engines and aerial ladders from Tremosine, Salò, and Riva del Garda, undertook a lengthy operation to extinguish the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to other residential units. Fortunately, there were no injuries or cases of smoke inhalation reported among the occupants of the building.
