In Lombardy, the flu vaccination campaign has reached a new milestone with over 2 million doses administered, totaling 2,000,184 vaccinated individuals as of January 13, 2025. This achievement marks an increase of 133,900 compared to the previous year and is the result of collaborative efforts among health institutions, family doctors, pediatricians, and pharmacies. Regional Welfare Councillor Guido Bertolaso emphasized the importance of prevention, warning that the flu peak has not yet been reached and urging citizens to get vaccinated to protect their own health and that of the more vulnerable populations.
The free vaccination campaign continues actively throughout the region, ensuring access to doses for all age groups, with particular attention to the elderly, children, and individuals with chronic conditions. Citizens can receive the vaccine at ASST vaccination centers, in the offices of general practitioners, from pediatricians of free choice, and at participating pharmacies.
