On March 8th, Fraglia Vela Desenzano hosted the assembly for the election of the board of directors that will lead the association for the 2025/2028 term. During the meeting, Stefano Loda was re-elected as president, receiving unanimous support from the members—a clear indication of the trust placed in him after his term from 2021 to 2024.
Composition of the New Board
In addition to Loda, the board members Pier Acquaviva, Lorenzo Azzi, Aureliano Casuccio, Stefano Girelli, and Dyamila Scalvini were also re-elected. New members include Alessandro Archetti, Alessandro Bocchio, Filippo Collia, Marco Franchi, and Mattia Polettini. Loda expressed his gratitude for the support received and emphasized the importance of continuing diligently along the established path to ensure the club’s growth.
Achievements
In his report to the assembly, the president highlighted the numerous successes achieved over the past four years. Notably, the well-established sailing schools for children, teenagers, and adults, as well as the competitive teams that saw participation from 47 athletes across various sailing classes such as Optimist, 420, and RSFeva.
The club also promoted a series of social activities throughout the year. The summer social championship and the winter challenge from November to February attracted a high number of participants. Events like the “Garda Maçç,” known as “the crazy regatta,” and the “Gellaser,” dedicated to dinghies, further enriched the competitive landscape.
2024 University World Championship
A particularly significant moment was the hosting of the 2024 University World Championship, which took place in the Gulf of Desenzano. This event saw young sailors from 14 nations across four continents participate, creating an atmosphere of great excitement for both Fraglia Vela and the entire local community.
With a new board at the helm and a solid legacy of successes behind them, it is now up to the team led by Stefano Loda to continue navigating towards new achievements with determination and passion.
