ASST Garda, the Territorial Socio-Healthcare Company of Lake Garda, has organized a free screening initiative for Hepatitis C (HCV) on the occasion of World Health Day, celebrated on April 7th. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 9th from 2pm to 6pm at the Leone Shopping Center in Lonato del Garda.
Hepatitis C is often an asymptomatic but very dangerous infection that can cause serious liver damage. For this reason, ASST Garda has decided to raise awareness among the population about the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. Healthcare professionals will be available to perform free tests with a simple finger prick and provide information on the topic of HCV.
The free screening for HCV is aimed at all citizens born between 1969 and 1989. This type of infection affects many people in our country, often without them being aware of it. Thanks to scientific research, we now talk about a curable disease and screenings are the best way to obtain an early diagnosis and prevent further health risks.
The General Director of ASST Garda, Roberta Chiesa, thanked Angela Berto, director of the Leone Shopping Center, for hosting the event. These initiatives contribute to creating greater synergy between public healthcare, the community, and users. The Mayor of Lonato del Garda, Roberto Tardani, also emphasized the importance of promoting awareness and prevention initiatives for the health of citizens.
Angela Berto, director of the Leone Shopping Center, enthusiastically welcomed the ASST Garda initiative dedicated to health prevention. The shopping center is a place frequented by many people and is therefore ideal for reaching a wide audience and raising awareness on important topics such as prevention. The collaboration between ASST Garda and the Leone Shopping Center has been very positive so far, and the public has shown interest in these initiatives. The shopping center is committed to offering a service that benefits the community first and foremost.
The free screening for Hepatitis C represents an important opportunity for all citizens born between 1969 and 1989 to receive an early diagnosis and intervene promptly against this infection. Thanks to the commitment of local healthcare institutions, everyone is given the opportunity to take care of their own health.
