The Canottieri Garda Salò has announced the opening of registrations for the 12th edition of the Fondo nel Golfo, a long-distance swimming competition that will take place on Saturday, June 28. Starting from Saturday, March 1, athletes will be able to register for this event, which saw participation from over 300 swimmers in its last edition. The event will be preceded by the Regional Long-Distance Championship over a distance of 3 km, marking a significant return to the region after 13 years.
During the races, navigation will be suspended in the affected area, and safety measures will be ensured by the Coast Guard and the Financial Police, along with inflatable boats from Canottieri Garda, each staffed with a certified lifeguard. Participants will have three course options: one of 4.5 km, one of 3 km, and one of 1.5 km, with reduced fees for those who register by April 1.
