Anffas Desenzano has launched a fundraising campaign for disabilities in anticipation of opening a new Social Educational Center dedicated to ten young individuals with disabilities. The initiative, titled “Furnishing Inside to Live Outside,” aims to raise funds to furnish the spaces recently granted on loan by the Municipality of Desenzano, which are currently undergoing renovation. The project includes the purchase of cabinets, tables, and chairs to make 170 m² of space usable, comprising three classrooms, a kitchen, and two bathrooms, thus enabling the young people to participate in social inclusion projects and work internships.
The campaign has already raised over €9,000 thanks to the support of approximately thirty donors through the Idea Ginger platform, backed by BCC del Garda and the Lions Club in the Garda area. The project is divided into three phases: the first involves furnishing the classrooms with a budget of €11,000; this will be followed by the work for a complete kitchen costing €7,000, and finally, the purchase of bathroom accessories at a cost of €4,000. The renovation is expected to be completed by February 2025, with the center’s inauguration scheduled for the last weekend of March.
