On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Garda Community, a commemorative event was held to honor the memory of Annamaria Salvo de Paoli, a key figure in the territorial development of the Garda region. During the ceremony, the Secretary General Pierlucio Ceresa emphasized the significant contributions of the doctor, who held important roles as Deputy Mayor and Councilor in the Municipality of Salò, as well as serving as a permanent delegate in the Community’s governing bodies. Her commitment was evident through cultural and tourism initiatives that have left a lasting impact on the area.
Ceresa recalled Annamaria’s intelligence and professionalism, highlighting the challenges faced by a woman in the political landscape of the ’80s and ’90s. Among her most notable achievements are celebrations such as the bicentennial of Goethe’s journey in Italy and the establishment of the ISFE, the Institute for European Training. Her legacy continues to inspire current and future generations engaged in enhancing the local community and improving territorial development around the lake.
