Stop to the cycle path between Gardone and Limone: focus on ferries. The regional assessor for infrastructure and public works, Claudia Maria Terzi, has confirmed that the project for a physical cycle path between Gardone Riviera and Limone has been abandoned in favor of a ferry service. This decision pertains to “lot 3” of the Garda cycle path on the Brescia side. During a meeting in Gardone Riviera, the assessor announced the intention to promote sustainable intermodality through Navigazione Laghi, with the introduction of two hybrid ferries that will ensure continuous service between the two locations.
The investment planned for this project is approximately 10 million euros. Assessor Terzi expressed satisfaction with this choice, emphasizing the importance of moving quickly to implement the first two lots of the plan. This approach also responds to calls from citizen committees, environmental groups, and political representatives concerned about the protection of an area already vulnerable to landslides and collapses.
