The future of viticulture on Lake Garda is being discussed at the Garda Forum. This sector represents one of the most significant wine-growing realities and one of the most important tourist destinations in the European market, thanks to its strong food and wine identity.
The 29th edition of the Garda Forum, entitled “Viticulture on Lake Garda: tradition, projection into the future, sustainability, and the promotion of wine tourism”, will focus on fundamental issues such as sustainability and innovation in order to maintain the competitiveness of the region.
Organized by the Rotary Club of Riva del Garda and sponsored by the Autonomous Province of Trento, Trentino Marketing, the Municipality of Riva del Garda, Apt Garda Dolomiti, Riva del Garda Fierecongressi SpA, and Cassa Rurale AltoGarda-Rovereto, the forum aims to provide a vision of the future of the tourism and wine sectors in the Garda region. It is important to consider that these sectors will increasingly depend on the quality of the environment, the authenticity of the vacation experience, and a hospitality system focused on well-being and experiential tourism.
The event will feature various personalities from the wine and tourism industries. Among the experts present will be Enzo Merz, wine and food expert and scientific coordinator of the Garda Forum; Professor Attilio Scienza from the University of Milan; Francesco Spagnolli, winemaker and former director of the School Center of the Agricultural Institute of San Michele/Fondazione Mach; Nicola Frasson, collaborator of Gambero Rosso; Giovanna Prandini, president of Ascovilo; Alberto Gelmetti, head of the Viticulture Unit at the Technology Transfer Center of Fondazione Mach; Silvio Rigatti, president of Apt Garda Dolomiti; and Emilio Pedron, consultant in the wine sector and expert in territorial marketing.
The conference will begin on May 6 at 6 pm and will be open to the public without the need for reservation until all available seats are filled.
