The “Garda Unico” project has been officially launched, an interregional initiative involving Lombardy, Veneto, and the Autonomous Province of Trento, aimed at promoting Lake Garda as a tourist destination in a coordinated manner. The protocol, approved by the Lombardy Regional Council, outlines a total investment of 900,000 euros for the three-year period from 2024 to 2027, with 300,000 euros coming from the Lombardy Region. This project seeks to enhance the lakeside locations and support the area’s tourism competitiveness, which is already a sought-after destination, attracting over 1.5 million arrivals in the first seven months of 2024.
The “Garda Unico” project aims to develop an integrated ecosystem to improve tourism communication through social platforms and experiential content. Among its objectives are the creation of a unified calendar for local events and the internationalization of tourist flows. Paolo Artelio, president of Garda Unico-VisitGarda, emphasized the importance of this agreement in ensuring optimal visibility for Lake Garda in the international tourism landscape.
