Gargnano will receive a funding of 360,000 euros from the Lombardy Region for territorial safety interventions, specifically aimed at mitigating the risk of landslides in the Sinsegla area. This decision was made by the regional council upon the proposal of councilors Gianluca Comazzi and Massimo Sertori, as part of a broader program to combat hydrogeological instability. The funds will be available in 2025 and come after a series of landslides that have affected the area, including the inaccessibility of Provincial Road 9 last September.
The region has experienced several landslides recently, culminating in significant events such as last weekend, when portions of rock detached from Mount Comer. Councilor Comazzi emphasized the importance of these state contributions in addressing the needs of local communities and tackling the issues that have arisen following recent severe weather events.
