In Gargnano, there will be two screenings of the short film “Vademekum – Grandparents, Don’t Open That Door” on March 2 and March 9, dedicated to the prevention of scams targeting the elderly. This project, conceived by the Local Police of Gardone Riviera and directed by Susy Laude, features prominent actors such as Dino Abbrescia and Stefano Cipani, and was first presented in Gardone Riviera in September 2023. The 13-minute short addresses a delicate issue in a lighthearted and entertaining manner, providing useful information to raise public awareness about the vulnerability of the elderly.
The main goal of this initiative is to inform and prevent scams against vulnerable individuals. Director Nunzia Imbriaco emphasized the importance of approaching this topic in a not overly serious way to reach a broader audience. With the aid of comedy and engaging storytelling, “Vademekum” aims to be an effective tool for educating the elderly to be more cautious about everyday pitfalls.
