ASST Garda has established an infectious disease hotspot in Gavardo, which will be operational from Monday, December 16, seven days a week, from 8 PM to midnight. Located within the premises of the blood collection point at Gavardo Hospital, this service is free for residents over the age of six who are enrolled in the Lombardy Regional Health Service. The initiative, designed as “experimental” by the Lombardy Region, aims to provide assistance to patients with mild respiratory conditions, thereby reducing inappropriate visits to the Emergency Room and improving therapy management.
Access to the hotspot is not direct; citizens must contact the European Harmonized Number 116117, where an operator will connect them with a doctor to assess the need for a consultation. The clinic is equipped with advanced diagnostic devices to detect various viruses and also offers services such as blood tests and rapid ultrasounds. During the holiday season, the service will extend to special hours on holidays to ensure continuous assistance.
