Two men have been reported in Gavardo as part of a Local Police operation against cocaine trafficking. The officers, suspicious of the nervous behavior of the two unemployed individuals awaiting a residence permit, conducted checks on a car that turned out to be a hiding place for drugs and cash. During the inspection, approximately 15 grams of cocaine divided into doses, packaging materials, and a 50-centimeter baton were discovered.
In addition to the drugs, the officers seized around 10,000 euros in small denomination banknotes, presumably the proceeds of illegal activity. One of the reported individuals had a history of drug trafficking offenses; both will be referred to the Questura for further assessments regarding their legal status and the issuance of their residence permits.
