A new pilgrimage from Gavardo to Rome is set to attract enthusiasts of trekking and spirituality. Conceived by Sonia Piccoli, a traveler and trekking instructor, the route will unfold along ancient paths from May 1st to June 2nd, in celebration of the Jubilee 2025. Piccoli, known for her expertise in the trails of Lombardy, Trentino, and Veneto, has previously organized charity walking events and is now combining her passion for history with the aim of rediscovering the historic sites traversed by pilgrims over the centuries.
Moreover, Sonia has launched a fundraising campaign to support the Gavardo Hospital, focusing on improving conditions in the intensive care unit and assisting healthcare staff. With past initiatives already successful, such as the one for orphaned children following the disaster at the Rigopiano hotel, Sonia continues to actively engage with the community, promoting health and well-being through the practice of walking.
