A German couple, Renate and Ralf Drescher, has celebrated an extraordinary milestone of fifty consecutive years vacationing at the same campsite on Lake Garda. The couple, aged 81 and 86 respectively, began visiting Camping Azzurro in Malcesine since their honeymoon in 1974 and have returned every year since. Each summer, they dedicate at least six weeks to their beloved Campagnola beach, where they enjoy moments of relaxation and fun.
The Municipality of Malcesine wanted to honor this remarkable example of loyalty and love by presenting them with a commemorative certificate and a custom cake during a special ceremony. The Drescher’s story has become a romantic symbol for the local community, highlighting the importance of family traditions and enduring emotional bonds.
