A busy afternoon occurred on Sunday, June 16th in Sirmione, where a 65-year-old German tourist experienced a serious health problem after diving off the boat he was on. The incident took place around 2:00 PM when the man suddenly showed signs of distress.
Thanks to the quick thinking of some nearby Italian tourists on a rubber dinghy, the tourist was promptly rescued. The witnesses loaded the man onto their vessel and transported him to the port of Sirmione for further medical attention.
Authorities swiftly responded to the scene of the incident, including the Coast Guard and local police, who coordinated the rescue operations. Due to the critical condition of the tourist, helicopter assistance was required.
The rescuers then urgently transported the man in critical condition to Desenzano Hospital. Currently, the tourist is in serious condition and remains under careful medical observation.
