Sirmione is ready to host the second stage of the Giro d’Italia Women 2024, scheduled for Monday, July 8th. The cyclists will depart from Sirmione and pass through various municipalities in the provinces of Brescia and Mantova, with the finish line in Volta Mantovana. To ensure the safety of the event, the Municipality has planned significant changes to the road network.
From 10:50 am to 11:50 am, traffic will be suspended in both directions on several roads, including Piazzale Porto, Via A. Diaz, and Viale Marconi. From July 7th at 7:00 pm until July 8th at 6:00 pm, parking will be prohibited with enforced towing in Piazzale Porto and other specified areas.
In Piazzale Europa, from 4:00 pm on July 7th until 6:00 pm on July 8th, the south side parking spaces will be reserved for vehicles for people with disabilities, the north side for taxis, and the two central rows for loading/unloading of goods.
Other measures include the implementation of two-way traffic on Viale Marconi, which will not be valid during the temporary suspension of traffic. Access to Via Roma will also be prohibited from 10:50 am until the passage of the last competitor.
