The evocative setting of the Anfiteatro del Vittoriale degli Italiani is getting ready to host a significant music event. On July 23, 2024, at 9:00 PM, composer and pianist Giulia Mazzoni will hold a concert accompanied by the YAS String Quintet, comprised of some of the finest string musicians from the Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
The evening will be a unique opportunity to hear Giulia Mazzoni’s new musical project titled “YAS Your Anima System” in a world premiere. This work will be presented in an innovative version that integrates piano, string quintet, electronic programming, and percussion interventions. In addition to this, the artist will perform songs from her previous albums “Giocando con i bottoni” and “Room 2401”, as well as the piece “Wildness”, part of the soundtrack of Marco Amenta’s film “Anna”, presented at the Venice Film Festival in 2023.
The concert promises not only an extraordinary musical experience but also a visual one. The artist has selected emotional images that will be projected on screens overlooking the lake, creating an immersive and engaging atmosphere.
Known for her original style that combines romanticism and a wide range of musical nuances, Giulia Mazzoni has achieved a prominent position in contemporary classical music. The president of the Vittoriale degli Italiani, Giordano Bruno Guerri, expressed great satisfaction with this collaboration, emphasizing how this event will further enrich the summer season hosted in the D’Annunzio park.

Trained at the prestigious Conservatorio Verdi in Milan, Giulia Mazzoni has collaborated with international artists such as Michael Nyman. Her concerts have graced important opera houses around the world, from China to Europe. Her social commitment and numerous awards testify to her cultural and humanitarian impact.
Her versatility is also evident in composing the soundtrack for Marco Amenta’s film “Anna”. With the release of the album “YAS Your Anima System”, recorded between Los Angeles, Florence, and Prague, and the inaugural performance of the 2024 season at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, she continues to push the boundaries of contemporary classical music.
The YAS String Quintet is composed of Alessandro Alinari (Violin I), Ana Aline Valentim (Violin II), Andrea Pani (Viola), Amelia Sharp (Cello), and Riccardo Donati (Double Bass). These musicians bring with them a wealth of experience from leading Italian and international orchestras.
