In recent months, hotel and non-hotel accommodation in the area of Verona and along the shores of Lake Garda has shown a consistently growing trend. Between the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, data indicates a significant increase in bookings, particularly from tourists coming from Germany, France, Spain, and the United States. Additionally, there is a notable presence of Brazilian tourists, further diversifying the local tourism landscape. Paolo Artelio, president of the Destination Verona Garda Foundation, emphasized that the average stay in the area is close to three days, with occupancy peaks reaching 81% on December 31, 2024.
In December 2024, the lower lake area recorded an average occupancy of 45%, with better performance during the Christmas holidays. Ivan De Beni, president of Federalberghi Garda Veneto, confirmed that some establishments reached occupancy rates of 80-85% thanks to well-organized events by local municipalities and favorable weather conditions. The forecasts for the upcoming season appear promising, with a number of bookings already exceeding those of the previous year.
