The open-air tourism sector in Italy continues to grow, with an annual revenue of 8 billion euros and forecasts for 2024 indicating a 3.5% increase in arrivals and a 1.3% rise in overnight stays. Veneto remains the leader in the availability of accommodation, followed by Tuscany, while Puglia and Emilia Romagna are positioned further behind. Lombardy ranks second after Tuscany in terms of the number of tourist facilities.
To discuss these trends and the future prospects of sustainable open-air tourism, FAITA Federcamping is organizing a conference titled “THE FUTURE IS OPEN AIR,” scheduled for Monday, October 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Dogana Veneta in Lazise. Among the speakers will be representatives from regional and local institutions, industry experts, and entrepreneurs, including the president of FAITA-Federcamping, Alberto Granzotto.
