A new series of guided tours titled “Traces of History in Salò” will kick off on Sunday, February 23, at 3 PM, aimed at uncovering the history of Salò, the ancient capital of the Magnificent Homeland. Following the success of previous tours during the Christmas holidays, which saw a full house with 240 participants, the Municipality and Pro Loco have decided to offer this initiative again in February and March. The four scheduled events will cover topics such as “The 18th Century Between Devotion and Aristocracy” and “Salò from the 19th to the 20th Century,” along with a special tour dedicated to “Stories of Women’s Lives in Salò,” set for March 8.
Participation in the tours costs 5 euros, and prior reservation is mandatory as spots are limited. The organizers aim to enhance the historical heritage of the city, providing residents and tourists with a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of the area. Additional tour dates are set for Saturday, March 15, and Saturday, March 22, during which participants will also have the chance to explore locations that are usually not accessible to the public.
