In Riva del Garda, the “Guido Santorum” scholarships are back, promoted by the “Riccardo Pinter” association. These awards, dedicated to the memory of Professor Guido Santorum, a former teacher at the Andrea Maffe high school and a scholar of philology and history, amount to 1,000 euros each and will be awarded to two theses discussed between the 2021/22 and 2024/25 academic years. The research must focus on archaeological, environmental, historical, and archival themes, in line with the association’s objectives aimed at protecting the artistic and environmental heritage of the area.
Applications to participate must be submitted by September 30, accompanied by a degree certificate. The theses should be submitted in duplicate to the municipal library of Riva del Garda. The judging committee, composed of cultural experts selected in collaboration with the Maffei high school and Santorum’s family, will award the scholarships by December 31. The association also reserves the right to use the awarded materials to further promote the dissemination of the topics addressed.
