A hang gliding accident involved a couple in their 30s in Toscolano Maderno on the afternoon of Monday, December 30. The alert was raised around 4:30 PM when the two were aboard a two-seater hang glider near the Creste trail on Mount Pizzocolo. The causes of the incident have yet to be determined, and investigations are ongoing.
Six operators from the Valle Sabbia Alpine Rescue Station responded to the scene, reaching the area at an altitude of 1,440 meters to assist the couple. Air rescue services from Brescia were also activated to facilitate the recovery. The two injured individuals were transported in yellow code to the Civile Hospital in Brescia to receive the necessary medical care.
