In a recent operation, the Guardia di Finanza uncovered over 150 irregular workers across a dozen companies operating in the textile, packaging, logistics, and catering sectors in the Alto Mantovano. The intervention by the financial police resulted in the implementation of measures and penalties totaling approximately half a million euros. Among the actions taken were the filing of charges against the owners and a request to suspend operations for four of the involved companies.
This operation is part of a broader commitment by the Guardia di Finanza to combat undeclared work, which undermines the economic and financial stability of the country. Investigations revealed that such practices allow irregular companies to unlawfully reduce their tax and organizational costs, thereby gaining unjustified competitive advantages.
