On the weekend of April 26 and 27, Padenghe sul Garda will host the second edition of the historical reenactment “Il Tricolore a Padenghe,” an event aimed at recalling the events that took place on March 25, 1848, during the Risorgimento. The event will take place at Parco Vaso Rì, where the encampment of the Austrian army and the Patriots will be recreated, featuring the participation of around fifty reenactors in period costumes. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness a reenactment of the battle and engage in various educational activities, lectures, and musical performances.
The inauguration of the event will occur on Thursday, April 24, at 9:00 PM with a historical conference led by Carlo Saletti at Palazzo Barbieri. The program will continue on Saturday with the setup of the encampment, followed by the reenactment of the Battle “Il fatto di Padenghe” in the afternoon. On Sunday morning, a “skirmish” will take place in the historic center, followed by the “Great Historical March” accompanied by the Padenghe Brass Band and the final reenactment of the 1848 battle. Throughout the weekend, visitors will also be able to view artistic exhibitions dedicated to local history at Palazzo Barbieri.
