Holy Land Travel Images: A Journey into the Essence of the Holy Land through the Eyes of Laura Zinetti and the Texts of Maria Luisa Crosina. The exhibition, which will be held at the XYZ Art Gallery, offers a fascinating glimpse into a diverse and complex reality.
The photographs on display are the result of Laura Zinetti’s pilgrimage to the Holy Land in March 2023. The texts, on the other hand, were written by Maria Luisa Crosina during her trip to the same region in 1999. Both journeys represent a profound experience of the soul, a journey through millennia of history in the city of Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is a city that lives and preserves a difficult and tragic everyday life today, but the images captured by Laura Zinetti were taken months before the sound of weapons. With her camera, she captured moments lived with her heart, creating a true diary of light and hope.
The texts written by Maria Luisa Crosina accompany the images with comments that expand on what is expressed in the shots. Despite the time gap between the two journeys, the words manage to convey intense and profound emotions linked to the Holy Land.
The inauguration of the exhibition will take place on May 5th at 6:00 PM at the XYZ Art Gallery. It will be the perfect opportunity to immerse oneself in the evocative atmosphere of the exhibited photographs and engage in dialogue with the authors.
Furthermore, on May 12th at 6:00 PM, there will be a reading of the images with the authors themselves. During the event, Aldo Salvottini will entertain the audience with his guitar, creating an even more engaging atmosphere.
“Terra Santa Immagini di viaggio” is an exhibition that invites visitors to explore and understand the Holy Land through the eyes of those who have experienced it intensely. It is an opportunity to approach a complex and fascinating reality without prejudice or stereotypes.
So mark your calendars for May 5th for the exhibition opening and May 12th for the image reading event.
