On the occasion of the election day on June 8th and 9th, 2024, some changes have been introduced regarding voting at home for voters with serious illnesses who depend on continuous use of electromedical equipment and are unable to leave their homes. Additionally, “non-transportable disabled” voters with severe illnesses that make it impossible for them to leave their homes will also be able to vote at home.
These new provisions apply to the European elections throughout the national territory and to municipal elections in the voter’s municipality of residence. The request for voting at home must be submitted between April 30th, 2024, and May 20th, 2024.
To submit the application, interested individuals can contact the electoral office of the Municipality of Salò. This can be done through a delegated person at the office itself, by visiting the address at Via Fantoni No. 86 during public opening hours. Alternatively, the application can be sent via email to elettorale@comune.salo.bs.it or through certified mail (PEC) to the address protocollo@pec.comune.salo.bs.it.
The declaration must be accompanied by a copy of the voter’s card, a medical certification issued by a doctor designated by the local health authority, and a copy of a valid identification document.
