SALÒ: NEW BLOOD COLLECTION UNIT OPENED IN CUNETTONE Yesterday, Saturday, March 1st, the new Blood Collection Unit was inaugurated in Cunettone di Salò, located at Via Enrico Fermi 7. The event was attended by the leadership of Asst Garda and Avis, along with representatives from local administrations. This modern facility is designed to improve access for donors, who will be able to make both whole blood donations, managed by the Provincial Avis staff, and plasma donations overseen by ASST Garda.
The Municipality emphasized that this new initiative aims to significantly increase donations, particularly of plasma, which is essential for various medical treatments. The center will primarily serve donors from the Avis sections of Salò, Gavardo, and Valtenesi, with a potential pool of over 3,000 individuals. The center will be operational from Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM, and will also offer the possibility of special collection events during weekends.
