The Multi-functional Socio-Health Center ‘Damiana Abrami’ in Desenzano officially opened its doors with an inauguration ceremony held on Thursday, April 10. This new healthcare hub, which began operations on March 24 with the last service available to the community, was established thanks to an investment of approximately 6.5 million euros and represents an important resource for citizens. The event was attended by institutional figures such as Guido Bertolaso, the Welfare Councillor of the Lombardy Region, and Guido Malinverno, the Mayor of Desenzano. The facility was designed by the Renato and Damiana Abrami Foundation E.T.S. in collaboration with the ASST of Garda.
The center offers a wide range of health services, including the selection of a general practitioner, a vaccination center, services for individuals with disabilities, and specialist outpatient clinics. This initiative aims to provide care particularly for the most vulnerable individuals, promoting an innovative model that prioritizes psychological well-being and the humanization of care. During the ceremony, a plaque was also presented to Lidia Venturini Abrami in recognition of the Foundation’s significant contribution to the establishment of the facility.
