A road accident occurred on June 8th at 4:45 pm under the Desenzano viaduct, on Bezzecca Street. Two cars, an Opel Agila and a Citroën C3, collided head-on without causing serious injuries. However, authorities made unsettling discoveries in the Citroën: an illegally possessed gun and a significant amount of cocaine. The driver of the Citroën, a 40-year-old man known in the area, allegedly caused the accident due to his reckless driving.
Local police, firefighters, and Red Cross ambulances intervened at the scene of the accident. The Opel driver, an 80-year-old woman from Desenzano, suffered only minor bruises and was transported to the hospital in code green. The 40-year-old man, on the other hand, was hospitalized in code yellow for more serious injuries. The accident caused traffic disruptions with the temporary closure of Bezzecca Street to allow for necessary investigations and the inspection of the incriminated vehicle.
