A 38-year-old man from Pakistan, residing in Brescia, has been hospitalized in serious condition after diving from a pier in Moniga on August 17, 2024. The incident occurred in the afternoon when the man struck his head on the bottom due to shallow water, remaining unconscious for a few moments.
Nearby swimmers immediately rushed to assist the 38-year-old, bringing him back to shore where he was resuscitated by medical personnel who arrived by ambulance and medical car. He was subsequently transferred in critical condition to the Civile Hospital in Brescia, with the assistance of a helicopter. Although it appears he regained consciousness once out of the water, his condition remains critical. The local police of Valtenesi are conducting an investigation into the incident.
