A 67-year-old Austrian tourist is in serious condition after falling from his bicycle in Toscolano Maderno around 9 a.m. on August 23, 2024. The incident occurred at the northern entrance of San Giorgio road, near Bogliaco. Some passersby found the man unconscious and immediately alerted emergency services.
The Garda Volunteers’ ambulance responded swiftly, followed by a rescue helicopter from Verona, after assessing the severity of his facial and lower limb injuries. The man, who was in a semi-conscious state, was transported in critical condition to the civil hospital in Brescia for necessary treatment.
