In Campione di Tremosine, on Lake Garda, kitesurf instructor Roberto Chiari has launched an initiative to make wingfoiling accessible to people with disabilities. By making specific modifications to wingfoil boards, such as adding a fiberglass seat, Chiari is seeking to include everyone in this adrenaline-fueled sport. The project is also supported by French Paralympic athlete Colin Guillaume and includes an advanced sitkite camp from July 8th to 12th.
This initiative represents a significant step towards inclusion in water sports, allowing those with disabilities to experience the thrill of wingfoiling. Chiari’s Reunion Kite Academy continues to raise funds to improve equipment and better structure the school for people with disabilities in Campione. This initiative not only promotes the sport but also raises awareness and promotes social integration through accessible recreational activities for all.
