On October 24, 2024, the outflows from Lake Garda were increased to 150 cubic meters per second from the Salionze spillway, in response to persistent rains in the Brescia area. This maneuver, agreed upon by AIPo at the request of the Garda Community, was necessary to manage water levels that have shown no signs of decreasing in recent days.
The Secretary-General of the Garda Community, Pierlucio Ceresa, emphasized that the bad weather continues to impact the region and that inflows remain above 201 cubic meters per second. There have also been reports of floating debris in the waters, with recommendations for cautious navigation after a two-meter log was spotted near the shores of Desenzano.
