With the arrival of new rainfall, the outflow from Lake Garda has been increased to 140 cubic meters per second. Currently, the lake level stands at approximately +123 cm above the hydrometric zero, an exceptional figure for the month of October that has not been recorded since 1998. The managing authorities have had to implement extraordinary measures to keep the situation under control.
In anticipation of adverse weather conditions expected over the weekend, with inflows estimated at around 194 cubic meters per second, careful water management has been requested. The increase in outflow towards the Mincio River and the Mantua area has been decided in response to concerns from the Garda Community and will be closely monitored in the coming hours to assess the effectiveness of this measure.
