From April 27th to April 30th, a intermunicipal film festival will take place in Riva del Garda during the long weekend of Labor Day. Three films will be screened, totaling five showings.
The first film on the program is “Back to Black,” directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and starring Marisa Abela, Ryan O’Doherty, Jack O’Connell, Eddie Marsan, and Lesley Manville. It is a biographical drama with a musical setting in the United States in 2024. The film will be screened on Saturday, April 27th at 9:00 PM and on Sunday, April 28th at 8:00 PM.
The second film is “Kung Fu Panda 4,” an animation directed by Mike Mitchell and Stephanie Stine. This fun family film will be screened on Sunday, April 28th at 5:00 PM.
Lastly, on Monday, April 29th at 8:00 PM and Tuesday, April 30th at 9:00 PM, the documentary “La canzone della Terra” directed by Margreth Olin will be shown. The film tells the story of Jørgen Mykløen and Magnhild Kongsjord Mykløen and is set in Norway in 2023. This showing will be dedicated to Earth Day.
All screenings will take place at the cinema hall of the Comunità di valle in via Rosmini 5 in Riva del Garda. Ticket prices are €7 for full price and €5 for reduced price (over 65, under 14, students up to 25). The ticket office will open half an hour before each screening.
The film festival is organized by the Comunità di valle Alto Garda e Ledro together with the municipalities of Arco, Drena, Ledro, Nago-Torbole, Riva del Garda, and Tenno. The artistic direction is entrusted to the Coordinamento teatrale trentino.
