Valeggio sul Mincio has recently celebrated an important milestone for Tulipanomania, the blooming festival held in the Sigurtà Garden Park. During the 9th World Tulip Summit, which took place in The Hague, Netherlands, from October 16 to 18, 2024, the park was awarded the prestigious World Tulip Innovation Award 2024. This recognition honors the innovation and creativity behind the blooming of over a million tulips, which annually attracts thousands of visitors between March and April. Count Giuseppe Inga Sigurtà attended the event, emphasizing the importance of collaborations with the local community and the new features introduced in the festival, such as benches adorned with daffodils and tulips.
Over the years, Tulipanomania has transformed into a national reference festival, enriching the spring landscape with a wide array of colors and fragrances. With over 60 hectares dedicated to this spectacular bloom, visitors can admire floating flower beds and unique floral installations. The reopening of the park is scheduled for Saturday, March 8, 2025, when free admission will also be offered to all women.
