The regional councilor of the Five Star Movement, Paola Pollini, has expressed her concerns regarding the situation at the Gavardo hospital during a recent debate on motions aimed at enhancing the services of the facility. According to Pollini, the hospital, which is vital for the communities of Valsabbia and Alto Garda, is facing severe difficulties due to the healthcare policies of the center-right. The councilor emphasized the need to increase medical and nursing staff, pointing out that in the last recruitment round, only four out of forty-four professionals opted to work at this facility.
Pollini proposed several measures to attract young professionals, such as scholarships for students, agreements with municipalities for affordable housing, and public transport subscriptions. She criticized the center-right’s approach to managing the debate, lamenting that the motion presented by the minority was sidelined in favor of a late proposal from the majority. The councilor concluded by reiterating the importance of investing in local resources rather than seeking personnel from abroad, in order to ensure that the right to health is guaranteed for all.
