A delegation from the 6th Wing of the Italian Air Force visited the Pediatric Oncology and Pediatrics Departments of the Civil Hospitals of Brescia to bring some joy to the young patients. During the visit, the men and women of the 6th Wing met with the children, answering their questions and sharing their passion for aviation. They also brought aviation-themed gifts to make the hospital stay more enjoyable.
The 6th Wing, named “Alfredo Fusco,” is responsible for interdiction, reconnaissance, and support operations for surface forces, as well as the defense of Italian skies and the Atlantic Alliance. It also collaborates with civilian authorities to ensure public order and safety in emergencies or natural disasters. The 6th Wing is hierarchically subordinate to the Combat Forces Command (CFC) in Milan and is part of the Air Squad Command (CSA) based in Rome.
